History:
—Insert History of Okyeman region
As with most associations, it started when children of Okyeman found themselves and shared the vision to help their homeland.
The Okyeman Association of New England started when came about when a group of Okyeman “mma” (citizens) came together as a common people of the same value and lineage in order to socialize and bond together as part of our commitments in helping to bring together all Ghanaians who have family ties with the great state of Okyeman in New England of the United States as a whole.
Founding Members:
On September 9th 2009, six members of the Okyeman lineage were inspired and touched by the plight of our motherland and formed the association to gather all Okyeman mma in the Worcester County. made the move towards the formation of this great group with the initial vision of gathering “all Okyeman mma” in the Worcester County.
These great visionaries were:

Mrs. Agnes Oduro-Tener- Assistant financial secretary

Mr. Richard Boateng (The shoe of the great Anokyekrom Restaurant )- Ex-Public Relations Officer
There are currently – members in the association.
Our Okyeman Association
These selfless and dedicated sons and daughters of the great Okyeman lineage continued their meetings as well as created the awareness to their brothers and sisters from the Eastern Region of the most peaceful Country of Ghana and in no time were able to attract about 100 members.
The Association was officially inaugurated on August 7th, 2010 in Worcester, Massachusetts.
